If you ever get anxious or frustrated while you are waiting, it’s time to consider that much of your life is spent in a waiting state. It could go on behind the scenes, but often it takes center stage as you direct all of your energy and focus to what may or may not happen, and why it’s taking so long.
Waiting can be uncertain and uncomfortable and waiting is a reminder that you don’t control the world and that can be unsettling. Especially if you think you control the world.
When you are finished waiting, more waiting will ensue, so may as well enjoy living while you are waiting.
While you are waiting for the test results, the job offer, for clarity, the new idea, for a yes or a no, and for the waiting to end, remember that you will still be who you are when the waiting is over. Your direction could change, your life might look different, and you may have new decisions to make, but you will still be you.
Go on, get living. Even while you are waiting.
